Building a Candy Birdhouse

We are building a candy bird house! I like my grandpa so that’s why I’m making him a candy bird house. I’m making it with my dad. He helped the most with gluing the candy on it. I liked helping to glue the candy on too!

Why did I add candy to a birdhouse

  • Because I like candy!
  • Because it looks pretty
  • Because the birds might like how it smells
  • Because the birds might like how it looks
  • Because bright colors are easy to see

The problem

My grandpa loves watching birds. He has a lot of bird feeders but only one bird house. The birds need somewhere to live. I want to make a bird house for my grandpa!

I will make sure the birds can find their new house by:

  • Putting it in a space that they can see it
  • Putting candy on it
  • Keeping it close to the bird feeders
